When first unrolled, your mat may have a natural rubber scent. This is harmless and should fade within a few days, especially if the mat is aired out. (Carry strap is located inside the rolled mat.)

Care Instructions:
Wipe clean with a damp cloth and allow to air dry before rolling up. Avoid soaking the mat. Most natural, eco-friendly yoga mat sprays work well, but test on a small area first. Alternatively, create a DIY spray with water and a drop of tea tree or lavender essential oil. Store away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to prolong its life.
